Miniature flowers and plants are our specialty ,  featuring handcrafted miniature creations by Era Anderson Pearce, IGMA Fellow and Robert S. Pearce.

            Tjhe Pearces entered the world of dollhouse miniatures in 1977, and began the business of “Pearce Miniatures” in 1990.  They are members of NAME, IGMA and CDHM.  They work in 1", 1/2" and 1/4" scales and sell at fine miniature shows all across the nation.  You are invited  to view their selection of handcrafted miniatures.


            Era earned the status of IGMA  Artisan in May of 2005 and was selected for IGMA Fellow in November of 2007, in the category of flowers and plants.  She creates a wide variety of miniature plants and flowers.  Era's work can be found in private collections and museums throughout the world, and her work has appeared in all three major miniature magazines.  Although being involved in creating and selling miniatures from the late 1970's,  miniature plants and flowers became her passion in 1999 when she sold the full size greenhouse she owned.  Each plant , flower or arrangement that  Era creates is extensively researched and each prototype or piece she creates  is of her own original design.  Era's specialties include custom crafted Oriental Wisteria sinensis and Wisteria floribunda vines in full bloom, exotic Orchids, tropical plants and arrangements, Cactus / Sedum gardens, and delightful delicate water gardens for courtyards or patios.  Era's latest creations are the miniature "Terrariums" also known as Bottle Gardens" and her newest passion is the "Bog Garden" including her IGMA auction piece  featuring six carniverous plants, two of which are in bloom.  The Bog Garden she submitted for Fellow selection as well as the other four submissions can be seen in the Gallery section.  Although she uses some paper punches, most of Era's flowers, leaves and plants are individually cut, all are completely hand painted, shaded, and shaped to create the ultimate in realistic detail.  Her pieces always show consideration for growth stages, even extending to naturally damaged leaves or petals when appropriate.

 Bob’s specialty is bonsai crafted in the traditional Japanese style.  Bob has created full size, live bonsai in the past and has studied with John Naka, a Japanese Bonsai Master.  Each style of Bob's bonsai is thoroughly researched and created following the formal rules set down by Japanese standards.

            All of our  Wisteria, water gardens, cactus and sedum gardens, floral arrangements and bonsai  are one of a kind.  Of the smaller plants or items that are duplicated, each piece is individually hand crafted, as evidenced by slight differences in size or color.

            Pearce Miniatures also creates over 200 miniature accessory items in ¼” and ½” scale.  Specialties in small scale are realistic food and theme vignettes in reproduction tins for which they are well known.  We make small scale furniture on a custom basis.
